C.F.N.E Manifesto was established in Reykjavik September 2007 by A Kitchen Affair. While traveling along the scenic Golden Circle route In Iceland, we decided to gather material documentation of the journey. Two spaces were registered during the trip in two different ways. From the inside of the car a sound recording device reported the act of driving and the verbal reactions to the landscape. An additional space, the outside natural landscape, was documented through collecting rubbish at different locations. During this trip we decided to put our collecting formulae together in The C.F.N.E Manifesto. The Manifesto, therewith, became a document that is intended as a “declaration of awareness”. It can help the traveler by doing away with or prevent preconceived conceptions about locations and may open whole new fields of possibilities. The Manifesto was once applied by A Kitchen Affair during an exhibition in Reykjavik 2007.
